Opposite hand + random generator program = Chaos!

The software I used for this is called Alchemy. Its quick and easy to use and of course free! I did some Photoshop surgery afterwards using the lasso and gradient to keep things clean.

Sorry...two in one subject. Since the last one was just a scan from the sketchbook figured I'd actually do a proper one.

A hark back to some old school lifestyle illustration of the 60's with a nod to Playboy...plus a bit of Chris Ware New Yorker cover thrown in for good measure. If I had my own private roof top pool I would DEFINITELY go for a naked dip...naked sunbathing women added bonus.

Used a little life drawing sketch and tweaked it a bit for this topic. I guess the characteristics of a nerd for me will always be someone who in one small shape or form is a bit different to everyone else. As we all know if your shoes weren't the right brand, or your bag was overally sized packed with books, pencils, and cookery tins - then your a nerd!

So he is "bag size nerd", although later in life will become "prepared back-packer guy" - and everyone will love him!

For those of you who visit my blog, you may have seen this one before.... Sorry guys... i have a habit of slappin' up old work on here, rather than doing 'original jumble posts!! I just always tend to be pretty busy when new exciting jumble topics come up.
Anyways, i'm happy to share this again as a little tribute to my big fluffy playmate. He now lives in doggy heaven and i still think about him and miss him more n more each day!! He was my bestest mate... a HUUUUGE ball of fluff and a whole lot of fun!

Bit-52: TOP BOMBS!

I've been listening to a lot of 8-bit/chiptune music. Being pure data and very limited, I find it really intense.

For some reason this scene jumped into my mind when I was listening to the Dubmood track (the music to the second part), it was something about the juxtaposition of the sombre tune mixed with 8-bit game sounds.

Heres my somewhat finished entry. I say somewhat finished because there was a stoppage at the last hurdle. Well, I got distracted *cough*Mass Effect 2*cough*

Well anyway, this is something I envisioned when I listened to Europa by Globus. I wanted something fairly epic in scale and heroic like a scene of a rally cry. I am a big fan of using up-shots to enhance the epic feel, like you are mere mortals looking up at these towering figures. I kept enlarging the size of the flag too, a small one felt out of place in the scale I was trying to convey so it kept being sized up. Ive included a second song too! Consider it the after theme for the painting. Its Proud Nation by Immediate Music (the same people as Globus).
